And aren't we supposed to be watching our language in the forums since is somewhat family oriented and who kows who could be on here? If you look over my posts, not just this thread but many, you'll see a trend. I'm generally not involved in "butting heads with members" or "firing off at the mouth". I come on here, get info I need, talk to others, give advice if needed to others and generally function pretty peacefully.

Blacksport 96: LOL Just chill a bit and grow a thicker skin? We ain't your enemy... This thing is here for XJ/MJ folks to have FUN with... There are millions of XJ/MJ owners out there. Some of them find and it's a benefit for them. Fewer of them get deeper involved and make friends, attend events, etc... I welcome you and anyone else passionate about XJ/MJs to get in closer.

Be clear that this isn't a website where anything goes though.

I don't get it either, but I did ,make the effort to continue on reading the rest of the thread.

So, I would like to apologize since I was pouring as much gas, as fast as possible on this flame. BUT I will not have me A$$ handed to me by someone who cannot get their facts strait.

And like blacksport96, since that tread was SO MUCH FUN !!! I will be sending in my $30.00 from my next paycheck. IT WAS WORTH IT !!!

We have place for members who like to stoke the fires (sort of a Den where members can voice less respectable banter). membership has it's merits (you can flame members like Beezil with literate napalm, but keep it in the Den).

We do, however, work to maintain civil conduct on the public forums (focused on the respective topic). If you want to explore a divergent topic START YOUR OWN THREAD (so others can recognize your point without wading through the intro).

Even the infamous Den is not totally without rules. For the puerile types who feel a need for such modes of expression we do allow naughty language, but personal attacks are still not allowed (except when the moderators KNOW that the attcker and attackee are pals in real life and the the "attack" is in jest -- because any other verbal attack can quickly escalate into a flame war.)

As to the terrorist thread, by midway through it was heading toward a flame war, with participants denigrating each other's country of origin/residence. I did post a reminder to everyone to keep it civil or suffer the consequences. Some of you chose to ignore the "heads up" and keep on with the insults. It is impossible to ever say that a flame war, once started, is "dying down," because it is impossible to know who might wander into the thread three hours, three days, or three months later, take umbrage at a particular post, and respond in kind.

A word to the wise: constructive discussion and dialogue are welcome, but when it degenerates into the "My dad can whup your dad" sort of posts displayed in the terrorist thread, it is probably safe to conclude that discussion and constructive dialogue have ended.

I missed the 'warning' in the original thread, and felt it had taken a turn toward civility by the participants. Since we can't see the thread in question any longer (that's what locking allows you to do, BTW) it's speculation but I seem to recall that the 2-3 who were really at loggerheads were on the verge of agreeing to disagree and leave it at that.

Most of the posts I see in "Tires..wife" have NO relevance to XJ/MJ either, but then again this IS the "Off-Topic" isn't it? Or maybe as long as the BOD is playing along in the thread it's sacred?

Now since that Hot Headed thread is gone, which has not accomplished anything important or relivant, (only sour grapes amoung some members & forum users) I would like to oplogise for being a major part of that negative behavior, I should know better.

What I do want to say is that I hope the world gets its act together and becomes peacful, and hope that everyone can work together to achieve a better life, as everyone on this planet deserves it.

I know this tread is closed and I will not engage in any pointless argunments in any future thread that may ignite some flames. so peace out, and happy wheeling...
