I don't understand how it works, you plumb a mason jar full of poop into your intake and get better mileage?*
*I only looked at the picture
in all seriousness I think mythbusters concluded that the hydrogen generator devices simply couldn't generate enough hydrogen via electrolysis to make any difference.
Man am I behind the times... I was just telling my wife the other day, "I bet they'll start making E85 conversion kits soon." I didn't realize they were already out there.
That's pretty attractive - over $1 less per gallon for E85, with a station right down the road from me. At my current rate of about 5 tanks a month it would only take 5 or 6 months to break even on the $425.
I found sites and news reports claiming that HHO will increase your gas mileage by up to 60%. The kits are expensive though, $1200 There is a company in florida that has been testing a car for a couple of years. Works in diesels also.
anyone talk the free 7 day info offer on the link Yella has above. find it interesting and have a 96 buick that is our cheap police auction beater\run around that would try it on.
The other day the Governor of Alaska was on Fox News because the State of Alaska is going to sue the federal government for not allowing drilling in Alaska. She thinks it's rediculous that they have huge oil supplies and the Feds won't use it.
I have seen lots of those gadgets for improving millage and they don't work period they tested the water for fuel on myth buster and it failed and internet petitions won't even get looked at sorry to bust your bubbles

I don't really believe in those mileage boosters myself, I do however firmly believe in using alternative fuels like biodiesil and ethanol. You don't even need corn to make ethanol, you can use grass. GM is working with a company to turn garbage into ethanol at a cost of about 1.00$ per gallon. Not sure if that would be our cost or theirs though. I would love for the US consumer to wake up to the fact that diesil cars are the way to go. Better mileage and greater reliability. There is a Skoda in Europe that uses a 1.6L VW built TDI and gets approx. 70 mpg. (yes gallon, i know its liters in europe) Even with the price difference in fuel a gas powered car would have to get around 60mpg to be cheaper in fuel. When I was in Germany a couple months back I saw all the diesil vehicles and rode in several af them. They still accelerated well and were smooth and quiet on the road.
They could grow enough algae in AZ to make biodiesil for the entire US. And it wouldn't negatively effect the AZ climate. All the growth and water supply would be completely self contained. It would also help increase the worlds oxygen production, helping offset the loss of rain forest.
No, I'm not a boulderite hippie. Actually I'm a republican.
Score one more for E85, the Chevrolet Corvette C6R is powered by it. For those that don't know this is the car that Chevrolet uses to compete quite successfully in both the American Le Mans and European Le Mans series.
