Tell me what you think about it. It needs a few changes. I think Im going to bring the side supports in a little more. I got a free version of AutoCAD 2007 through school and thought I would try it out. Thanks.

It is going to be on top of my bumper because the hitch is on the middle of the bumper, therefore I had to move it out away from the hatch a little.

Oh and please move this if you dont thin its hardcore enough...:D

oh and the dimensions arent exact. I didnt have time to actually measure anything...its just the general design im presenting

Looks good. I was thinking a similar design for my rig. Is it going to be centered, or off to one side? Also, what size tubing are you planning on using? Id go with 1/8", its just holding a tire afterall. If you want to go cheap, use wood. :D

Good design, post pictures when you done.:)

man - 30.7536" on that measurement huh? Must be nice to have tools that can measure and cut that presice :D
your just jealous, newb

You're pivot point is going to mean more than anything else on your design. You either need a lot of seperation or a really stiff mount. I made one a few years ago and used 1" bore sealed roller bearings. That part held up well but entire end of the bumper flexes around when pulling and pushing on the tire. We had plans to go back and correct the problem but have never gotten it done.

BTW, just because you carried the measurments to the 4th decimal doesn't make this advanced fab. :D
