Tire and wheel width question...

So I've been rocking the stock steelies for some time now, and they've been great, but I want some new wheels; which leads me to my question:

A friend is willing to make me a good deal on some wheels that I like, but I don't know that my tire width and the wheel width will be compatible.

My tires: 31x10.50x15

His wheels:15x10

Are there any foreseeable problems with this? I was thinking an 8" wheel would be best, but he has these 10" ones for a steal...

Shouldn't have a problem with 15x10s. Sidewall will "puff" out more.

What style of wheels are you lookin for? I can help if you don't find some online.

Well I like the style of the Mickey Thompson Classic II alloys, but I'm really open to ideas. The kicker is that I'm in school and with that comes a lack of money... But I'm not in a huge hurry or anything, I'm just tired of the wheels I have now.

I used to have black "D" window wheels that I kinda liked, but I seem to prefer lighter colored wheels with my dark green paint. I also like the Grizzlies and the (darker) Eccos, but really I am willing to look at anything. Do you have some that you'd like to get rid of?

Not for your Jeep (or any Jeep) no. I'll find some nice ones for you. Do you wheel a lot? I'll take that into consideration also. Don't wanna have some nice expensive chromes and beat 'em up you know.

I don't get to wheel as often as I like, no. But I do like to take it out from time to time, and I don't want to really worry about some real fancy wheels; I want some wheels that can take some use. The main thing is that I'm on a tight budget, so price is a concern.

Well this whole thing started cause I was looking at a set for $100. That or less would be preferable, but my max now would be about $200. The less expensive, the better lol.

He doesn't want steelies.
Well amigo, don't know what to tell ya. Mickey's go about $190 each. (The model you want)

Thanks guys. I know it's a tall order to fit, but I appreciate y'alls help on it. Since I'm not in a hurry, I may just wait til I find a good deal somewhere (I'm still open to some better looking stock wheels...) or I may go back to steelies... Or maybe even still go with the 10" wheels my friend is practically giving away. I don't know, for now I'll just wait til something good pops up!

Thanks again guys!
