I need to get the windows on the wife's '08 Accord tinted. The place I used in the past went out of business. Anybody got any recomendations of a reputable shop in the south Denver/Castle Rock Area?

Thanks!

my accord was $370 but they had to remove the shiddy mirror tint that was on there when i bought it...

i think my wifes accord was somewhere around $170 (both are coupes)

for an xj it should be cheaper b/c all the windows are flat.

South area was too pricey for me. I went into central Denver to the MAACO off E. Colfax when I had my '04 GTO done. They rent a space to a guy that does the tinting, but it's under the MAACO business name. They use 3M tint products. It was $160 and they did a really good job and have done quite a few of the GTO's in my club. I believe they top out at $190 for most passenger cars depending on how many windows.

rocky mountain auto tint did a car for me up on colfax, nice work, great warranty

same place heap went but I got the name right (I think..) though it IS in the same bldg as a maaco as he says.

I bought and installed a kit from tintkits.com for the DD XJ. It was $120 and fairly easy to install since the windows are flat....I wouldn't try one that had curved windows though...

blaisetd how did you manage to remove the power windows to tint them? I am having trouble disconnecting/removing them from the sliding device so I can take them out to tint them.

I tinted all the windows in place....you have to "tuck" the bottom edge of the tint past the rubber seal and the bottom of the side windows.

I started this thread way back when. thanks for all of the suggestions. I ended up going with a place called "Immaculate Auto Detail" just south of the shane company ( emporia and arapahoe). $200. also did a clear bra and buffed out some scratches my kids put in the paint. no complaints. car looks great.

I bought a pre-cut tint kit for the XJ.. One of these days I'll give it a try... It would make a huge difference on the XJ...

Thanks again for the suggestions. hopefully they will help someone in those areas.

Hey tinting the windows without removing them worked out alright, so at the end of the day I've only spent $50 total :)

However I may have to re-do one of the windows at some point, as I was squeegeeing it the tint slipped and now has a large crease in it. Oh well, all the other windows look great!
