Throttle Position Sensor

I just check what I thought was my TPS and it has 9.65 vdc on pins A and D. Am I completely lost? Thought it was only supposed to have 5 vdc. Could somebody please post a pic of the TPS location? Maybe I'm just out in left field.

I don't have a pic, but the TPS is directlly screwed onto the side of the throttle body and has wires coming off of it.
