Thoughts on Jeep Patriot?

I'm starting to look around for a possible BRAND NEW car. Yes.. I said BRAND NEW. I know how much everyone on here likes new vehicles. I had my eye on a Patriot and was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on that vehicle. I have also thought of a Subaru Impreza WRX.

A friend of mine had one brand new and I was not impressed it was front wheel drive. Independent suspension front and rear. Even the fully loaded model was kind of lacking. Only thing that impressed me was how much bass the upgraded stock sound system had. The navigation in it was difficult to use and often we didn't even bother with it and just used the navigation on our phones. She never had any major problems with it so I gues it was reliable but the overall design of the car was weak and it just isn't a Jeep. If I am going to buy a car with the Jeep name on it, it will BE a Jeep. Get the new Liberty atleast it has a solid rear axle, real 4wd, and that cool rag top. It almost has a cherokee look to it now too.

The Compass is quite literally just a car with the Jeep name on it. If you want something that can handle more than a county road, it'd be wise to look elsewhere.

The current Liberty really isn't a bad choice IMO, especially now that I've had a chance to sit in a Commander as well - it is bewildering how confining such a seemingly large SUV can be. Might as well go with the Liberty.
