Hey all been a member here for a while have had xj's before...currently working on getting an xj and building it just seeing what you all thought of my build plans (wont all happen immediately but end result)
1997-2001 xj 4.0 aw4 d30 8.25 np231
-subframe stiffeners
-4.5" coils, 3" leafs w/ shackles and shackle relocation brackets, ext. brake lines (no swaybars)
-10-12" travel shocks
-prothane front bumpstops
-some sort of u-bolt bump plate and aftermarket upper bump stop out back
-cut n' fold rear wheelwell and lower rear quarter, trim front fenders
-clayton 3-link kit
- 35" tires and geared axles with lockers (temporary-maybe not even geared)
-only thing done to motor will be spectre cowl snorkle and maybe a header
-t-case skid and gas tank skid along with tranny cooler and maybe gauges
-jks front steering box frame reinforcement, with aftermarket spacer and box brace
-rustys new quarter panel and front fender armor with flares (or flex flares with or-fab rear quarter armor)
-aftermarket steering
-down the road: hybrid cage w/ rear shocks through floor and 2x4 rocker replacement, hydro-assist (stock pump/psc pulley/stock box tapped or aftermarket box/surplus center ram/and lines)some sort of t-case and waggy 44's or 1-tons (depending on if i have a tow rig by then ideally want to get jeep competent in the woods then buy a tow rig/dd)
