This is where I lived...

:scared: Holy smokes that SUCKS!!!! Bad times are a coming!!!

Yeah I lived up on the bluff so it would not have got me. But used to cruise through there all the time. That bridge was about 20 foot above the water before. While I was living there I always wondered if that court house would flood. That is the building on the island. They got 5 inches of rain last night.
I showed the pics to my oldest boy and he told me he wanted to stay in Colorado.

Mother nature has really opened up a can of whoopass recently, hasn't she? Cyclones, earthquakes, tornados, floods... Seems like every day there's something new going down.

ive got a few friends that headed to the CR area to help fill sand bags (national gaurd). they were telling me about how the train bridges dont weigh enough to stand up to the floods so they are filling train cars with sand and leaving them parked on top of the bridges.

im sure you guys have heard about the boy scout camp that got hit by a tornado yesterday. its only about 20 minutes north of me. i spent about 6 hours out there cutting through trees trying to get people out of there. pretty spooky stuff.

Burlington Ia town I grew up in is in these pics. They don't get much since town is mostly built on top of the bluff.

I lived in Burlington as well moved to WY in 89'. Downtown will get hit as the water from the flooding flows into the Mississippi but the rest of the town will be safe. The Ilinois side is screwed though.

Speaking of "used to live"......Windsor, CO. Hope they're getting the town put back together.
