Some of you may have seen this on FB earlier.
I got hit AGAIN at work today. I was cruising south bound on 25 to bean town this morning and decided to pass a couple slow cars. As i was passing the front car, it decided to slam into the side of my service truck. I looked over to see the girl driving just look up from a phone? Maybe she had nodded off? I don't know and she says she can't remember. What happened next was crazy. She yanked the wheel hard right. I mean HARD right. As her front left tire bit the rumble strips/edge of the road her right rear picked up and over she went. The right rear impacted the ground and sent her into a barrel roll, NASCAR style. Stuff from her trunk, hunks of car and dirt/grass got flung everywhere. The bike behind me had smoke rolling of his rear tire and was fish tailing from slowing down so fast to avoid debris. By the time I got my truck off the road and the seat dug out of my ass, a few cars had stopped to check on her. Nobody bothered checking on me mind you. I jogged over to her car and found her, sitting on the cowl ish area of the hood with her legs in the car, shins and feet dangling where the stereo should have been. The windshield was 98% gone. Incredibly she was fine, or so she appeared to be. The paramedics still strapped her to a board and carted her off to the hospital with a brace around her neck. She is 19 years old and had been driving all night from her college in Nebraska back home to her folks in the San Luis Valley. I'm betting they didn't like the call from CSP they got this morning. Needles to say, I'm sure she's still in the hospital and I'm sore as hell. I think i may make a trip over there tomorrow and get checked out. OK OK i know, you guys wanna see pics. Fine
