Thinking of a move your way!

Hey guys,

In order to get a career rather than a job with my company, it's looking like I might have to move to Colorado for a couple years. I live in Ogden, UT currently, just north of Salt Lake City.

How is the Denver area? The family loves to camp. Other hobbies include 4 wheelers esp the sand dunes, Jeep trips, eating, etc. Can homes be found in the under 100K range? We've got 2 great little kids and hopefully no more coming, so a 2 bedroom home would be fine. I don't really want to live IN Denver, just near it.

There's also a slim possiblity of moving to the Grand Junction area. I know basically nothing about Grand Junction, other than it's 2 hours from Moab and Tracy lives there.

Any help?

Thanks,
Jared:patriot:

In a nut shell "NO" housing is the single largest cost in CO. Be it Denver, the Spings area, or Grand Junction.

In retro the pay scale might be slightly higher also than in UT. I dont know? Give me a call if you need to look around the Grand Junction area, I'll show you around. You still have my phone # ?

I WAS thinking about moving to Denver, C-Springs area but it was way too expensive. Nice area of the country but do some research on the housing market before accetping any $$ offers from your company.

Just my .02.

Actually, my membership expired two days ago.

As of this posting, I'm still in red.

I better pay pretty quick, or I'll end up like Beej! (gasp - a USER)

Craaaaap - it's getting harder and harder to find houses around here for less than $200k...

So what it sounds like you're saying is that anybody that makes less than 50 grand a year must clearly be homeless?
