You take that back right now! Transformers was the greatest cartoon EVER!!! Yeah, it was completely inconsistent, badly drawn, and had horrible dialog. But...Optimus Prime!

Yeah, I got pretty excited when I first saw the teaser trailer last year. I've been trying to get my 11 year old son excited about it, but apparently childhood nostalgia isn't contagious.

oh, don't get me wrong, transformers is awesome, and if it were anyone other than bay I'd be excited, BUT, let's take a look at this guys history and what the films end up being.

a micheal bay film in 30 words or less, by 87manche:
explosion, explosion, romance, explosion, explosion, explosion, plot twist, explosion, explosion roll credits.
it will be crap, and WTF up with making optimus prime a giant kenworth with fawking flames?
he was a cab over mack, always.

And bumble bee was a VW bug. It has to do with liscening agreements for movies. VW didnt want to be part of a movie about a war. Maybe Mack didnt either.

In the latest cartoon (a few years ago) he was some kind of generic conventional cab semi.

I think I still have mine somewhere as well as a few Go-Bots........

Sometimes you just wanna see sh!t blow up, trucks turn into cool robots and not really think much about a plot. I think it'll deliver. Must admit, I think Transformers and GI Joe were the only two cartoons I watched as a kid...

yeah, not true to childhood memories, the robots look stupid in robot mode, far too complicated. nobody visits the planet of junk, nobody rocks out to dare to be stupid, there's no rodimus or unicron, no stan bush,
