The NEXT SNOW RUN (April?)

we could do lennys

just keep me posted will also stop by and see ya during the week

Yes, 9:00AM at the Tinkham Road Exit off of I-90 (Just West of the Summit). Lets meet on the South side of the exit.

Some one who has been there recently can tell me if there is somewhere better to meet. I have not been up there is at least 15 years so I am going to rely on other with more recent experience to provide some trail ideas (I will bring maps though).

Wet snow packs well which can make it significantly easier to get on top of and float. It also can make it nearly impossible to push if needed with bumpers and grill's. So, it can make it easier but can also make it much more difficult. Does that help:)

47 is the exit you seek. :)

I might be coming up from the Portland area to attend this run. Is the trail going to be fine for a stock XJ? Don't know to much about that area, as I have exellent trails in my neck of the woods. If I will be fine with airing down three tires...as the fourth does a fine job on it's own, then let me know. Also check out my thread and give me some advice guys. I'm new to the jeep thing, but not to wheelin, so I don't know alot about the jeep systems, and such. Any help would be great!

Nothing wrong with bringing a stock rig. We will do our best to help you along if needed. Depending on your tires you might not want to air down either (we will see when we get there).

If you have chaind bring them.

Hope to see you there.

I'm sure someone will have an open seat. ;)

I foresee two groups: One equipped for deep snow and one NOT equipped for deep snow. :confused1

I expected that last trip also. However, we found that it really did not make that much difference as long as the shorter rigs stayed in the tracks and did not try creating their own trails.

But each trip is different and who knows.
I hope we are all prepared for the snow, even if we are not all as capable in the snow :)

might show up, care if i bring a buddy with a beat xj with an exaust leak thats annoying to me when im 50 feet behind him on the trail?

I'm going to have 33x12.50 swampers instead of the normal pizza cutters, so I should be able to float a little better than last time. As you said Michael, once the trail was blazed, the smaller rigs could keep up pretty well, so we might be able to stay together.

Sweet!! You can plow for us!!

Oh, they'll fit! I'll make 'em! HAHAHAHAHA

P.S. Why wouldn't they?

Backspacing and width... Just be prepared for them to grind like hell. If they don't fit properly and without chopping, you're going to risk slicing them open on your fenders. You might actually have to reconnect your swaybar or run your old tires. ;)
