The NEXT SNOW RUN (April?)

i got 31's and chains, should i bring my extra set of chains for loaners to the 31" crowd? they require a cam tool that i dont have, but a bent screwdriver will work (in fact, im gonna go make a cam tool.)
Just be aware, guys with chains are relegated to the back of the pack, so they don't tear up the snow for the guys trying to "float" on the snow.

should i just rip without em till i start sinking? (usually very sudden) i got good tread on ma tires. but no airing up capabilities.

so someone will air me up? i usually wheel with street pressure and sink then plow, i'll try airing down for once.

We should probably stick to wheeling. Later this summer we'll organize a trip for us gun nuts, but in the meantime...let's not. While this is not an "official" NAXJA event (where the NAXJA by-laws of no visible guns would apply) I think at this point we should keep the weapons stowed. If anyone has any feelings on the contrary, feel free to make them known, but I think most will agree this isn't the time.

-----Matt-----

Concur. Please see this post and take it into consideration: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showpost.php?p=675317&postcount=3

Come on out and wheel with us. Leave the guns home, please. As Matt said, we'll set something up later for that. ;)

:shiver: i thought drinking on the trail was strickly prohibited, plus im 19. how about a dollar.

It is, and I was kidding. How about free? Last run people donated air for my tires, so its good karma to pass that along. See you sunday!

how about tire chain rental for air if it gets reel icy? i got some 31" chains but they have these cam lock things that if you left them open, im sure they would fit a 32"

I probably won't run chains, but thanks for the offer. ;) As Matt posted earlier, at least two of us have OBA (myself and Michael for sure), so airing up shouldn't be a concern.

Tow hooks welded to the leaf packs, right? :D

How'd you know? Did I show you the cocktail napkin I drew it on when I was drunk? Do you see a design flaw?

-----Matt-----
Nah!!! He's having one welded to his exhaust pipe! Yeah, THAT'S the ticket! ;)

Once more for the record. PLEASE NO GUNS!!
I will have my son (3) and a friend with another (5 or 7) with us. I love wheeling but please leave the language and guns at home. THANKS!!

I do have air. But I will be borrowing it from IAN:)

No chains unless you prove you need them (we will tell you). But please bring them in case.

Most of us are on 33's. but last trip those with 31's and open were just fine as long as they are not leading.

Please make sure you have plenty of warm clothes, food, etc.

My brother will also be there (pizza cutter swampers just like Matt).
A friend with a TJ might also be coming along (not sure yet).

Friends are more than welcome, but I will say it one more time so that it is perfectly clear. This is a Family Oriented Trip, if you have kids bring them along!!

my cell for anyone who might need it:

See you all up there.

boy am i the only one with 35's on this trip right now, but still only open diffs, should have winch mounted on firday or saturday so will have that ready to go and will have a co2 oba so could help out with air up. looking forward to meeting all this sunday.

anyone have a freakin stock spring for my cherokee? i guess im going to pull a part on saturday.

I tend to agree with the drinking thing. Even with lunch it's plain fawking stupid to drink in cold weather. I don't mind it with lunch, but I personally won't be associated with it in a 'constant' form. If you need something like that in hand while on the trail then maybe you should be running harder trails. ;)

Strictly an opinion though. :D Everyone's entitled to it.

I agree with Phil, as we have seen with a past run and alcohol(not any naxja member were involved) but a little to much alcohol can make some people stoooopid, and with people bringing their little ones the consumption if any at all should be very limited along with the use of adult language, but when we are done with the ride for the day every one is on their own i might even stop and have one myself to warm myself up if i get all wet and cold, just my opinion as well, let's all just be safe and have fun, since this is why we are here.

Who am I missing? And why aren't YOU coming (you know who you are)? Huh?

-----Matt-----

Am I just paranoid or are you talking to me??? I wish I could go but I have to work,

Oh wait that isn't me ;)

I have homemade adjustable UCAs to install. Would love to be able to go 70MPH again. You know it is a front pinion thing.

Plus it is Daylight Savings :( I think that I would have to leave my house 10:00pm Sat to make it doing 60 MPH the whole way.
