The Great Diesel Debate, Part II

Hey, I just saw the great diesel debate, and I owned one of those 2.1L Renault beasts. I have some pictures of the engine, rear gate that has turbo diesel on it instead of 4.0L and some of the dash with the fuel gauge which reads diesel fuel only, and has the factory boost gauge. It was purchased brand new in Corvallis, OR. The problem is that I am a moron and either can't post pictures or am too stupid to figure out how to.

Someone requested posting pictures, so if someone would PM me an email address, I can email the pictures for them to post.

The only Diesel XJ's I have seen are:

My neighbors. And when I was a trail guide for Camp Jeep 2004 There was a guy with a 100% stock Super clean diesel XJ with less than 10K on the ticker.

That rig was sweet.
The debate was never over the diesel XJ...which I've seen. It was the diesel MJ.

I saw one on ebay once. They existed in '86.

What, you don't like a long distance rub every now and again, you BFUF?

While the debate has pretty much been resolved, I'm sure everyone would love to see pics of the elusive diesel MJ. Thanks for piping up and reminding everyone that, one time so far in my life, I was indeed incorrect.

*starting clock to see how long it takes for that to be in a signature*

I don't know what you're talking about ...

you still owe me $20! you going to browns camp, you can pay me there.

It is a genuine USA Diesel XJ. The original owner bought it new in Corvallis in 1986.

I bought it last December off ebay from the 2nd owner in Albany. It had a spun rod bearing, so I did all the required work to get it back on the road after 2 years of sitting. It ran great when I was done. Gutless though, and I decided to part with it. Sold it on ebay last June after putting about 800 miles on it putting around Salem, getting 28mpg. It was in great shape though. Both the owners had taken good care of it. They are a great conversation piece as about everywhere I went people kind of gave it a second look and asked how difficult it was to put a diesel in it. Everybody was surprised it came with it.
