Glad to hear everyone is ok. But to be honest it makes me feel better about not winning it. I promised my wife she could drive it home if we won. That would not have been a good thing. Even though I am sad i did not win I can be thankful for that.

Been there Nate, and it sucks. Mine was caused by improperly torqued lugnuts, but ended with the same result. Glad you guys were able to keep it on the road.

Seems that MWC rigs that weren't trailered were cursed this year, maybe it was for the best I didn't make it :gag:

Well Congrats on Winning the XJ! Glad everyone is safe after such an ordeal.

Oh, and the rules were very specific about who couldn't win the Jeep:

2: National Board of Directors, Giveaway Chairperson, Event Chairperson, their spouses, and any current or future employees of are not eligible in the Giveaway.

I say so what if he helped work on, advertise for or donate to the jeep build. If he is not one of these named people that couldn't win it then quit pissing and moaning. If I was to guess I would say he probably purchased more tickets than most other people. If you are more involved with such a fund raiser you are more likely to purchase tickets more than 1 time. I bought $50 in tickets a couple weeks before the giveaway. If I would have been more involved I probably would have bought $50.00 worth of tickets each month for the last 6 months. If he had only bought 1 ticket then you may have some justification in your accusations.
I honestly didn't care to win it. Ya, it would be nice, but the donation to an 4x4 organization of this caliber is well worth just giving them the money.


You will have to post up an update and some wheeling pics of the giveaway jeep when you get it out. I really want to see that bad boy in action

Speaking of updates, any word on how Josh and Nate are making out on swapping the axle?

I've nothing better to do but cruise teh intarwebs this afternoon from the AAMCO waiting room in Brighton, CO while my rig's getting new RMS, trans cooler lines, and pinion yoke sleeves/seals (see my thread in the CO Chapter forum). I could stand with an update, if anyone has one.
