So I am driving home from work Yesterday and got off E470 and as I pull away from the toll I hear this load clunk. I thought doesn't sound good. So I make it home and park the XJ and didn't get around to look at the Jeep. So I took my wifes Jeep to work today. Get home pull the XJ into the garage. Get underneath to look things over. U-joints looked ok. I jacked it up and spun the wheels. No noise. Just when I was about to give up I see both my driverside U bolts are broke. Just one side of u bolt was still togeter. Had spare set of U bolts I got with some lift springs. So I got it back together. But that would have been a fun ride if the other side broke on 470.

WOW lucky I'd say. I wouldn't want to see what would have happend had that busted loose at 55mph.

Meh, the shock would have held it all together..............:D

Kind of like that one last lug nut before the tire skipped town on you? OUCH! :scared:

Now did you shart your self on that one? I might have. Not a fan of important items falling off the jeep while it's in motion.
