Unlike every ZJ coil thread I've read in the past couple days I have some real results to share that actually contain pertinent information.
I pulled some V8 ZJ coils at the pull-a-part for $11 each the other day while I was there looking for a second E-fan. I pulled them particularly because they were noticeably thicker than the ones in the ZJ right next to it which also had a V8. Once I got them home I figured out I had gotten lucky and pulled the GN code springs. I put the calipers on them and got 0.595" - that's pretty stout.
Anyway, I put them on today to see what they would do, and after putting them in and driving around the block, I measured the driver's side to be 19.25" and the pass side to be 19.5". so that's approx. 1.75"-2" of lift.
It is a whole lot of to-do for 2" of lift. I'm not really sure I am even going to use them, I don't feel like they will flex well since they are so stiff. Yes, I am on a budget, but that doesn't mean I want to waste my time/money basing a lift of off 2" lift springs that wont flex.
