Big boys are noticing Tesla! Now including US DOE and Toyota, who is buying 550 million $s of Tesla shares, and Daimler buying over 5%.

Tesla is set to move into the Fremont, Ca. plant, formerly a joint venture between Toyota and G.M. They are moving forward on this as we speak. We wish them luck.

The partnership with Toyota is huge here in the Bay Area as they will be using the recently closed Numi plant where 4100 people lost their jobs a few months ago.

The shut down at Numi was sad to see.

Maybe it will be a good thing.

Will the NUMMI plant still be a UAW site? Then they'll get tangled up with the Government. Maybe there'll be a few unused Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix bodies left over, and they can build a little AWD electric car.
