T-case skid plates

I have been looking alot at the one from ORGS, very pricey though. One thing that every company lacks in thier skid plates is that none provide protection for the cat. I dont under stand why they just dont run the skid all the way across instead of making a half ass skidplate. I like the ORGS one because it replaces the weak factory cross-member but still leaves the cat. unprotected, at least on a skid like this I could weld onto it and build something myself for the cat. What skid plates do you guys perfer and why? What do you have? Is there ANY body out there that makes one that also protects the cat. ?

probably because if you enclosed the cat, it would get so hot, it would probably melt the floor.

I can attest to the strength of the ORGS crossmember, I witnessed Mark, split a big ass granite boulder into 2 pieces once with his road grating RED jeep

IMHO, you don't want to put anything under the cat because of the heat it would reflect back into the floorboards. There has been more than one person melt their carpet and even catch stuff on fire because of the heat of the cat. Most cats are pretty resistent to real rock damage and it only costs $60 to replace them anyhow.

I believe the ORGS skid is one of the best out there. If I didn't build all my own junk I'd have to seriously contemplate buying one myself.

I hate it when someone else is answering with the same thing I am at the same time :D

Skid Row. Recently ordered the t-case skid. Haven't installed it yet but have installed their gas tank skid and was duly impressed at the punishment it has taken.

Yea, I have the SkidRow engien and gas tank skid, they are built very well.

Does the SkidRow one hang down low too? Its a damn good price....

but then again it might just be better to spend the big bucks now and have a bullet proof skid, then paying for something twice.
