Sway Bar lower mount?

I sold a guy my JKS links for the front and I'm going to help him put them on tonight. When I did mine I had a hell of a time getting the lower bolt/pin out to put the new one in. I finally just let TnT do it because I had it over there for unibody stiffeners. I think they just cut them off with a torch. Does anyone have any tips on getting these out?

I think I cut mine off with a cut off disk then drilled the center out a bit then tapped them out. THey have that torx bit head to them but they are pressed in, so you'll never break them loose.

Cut the threaded end down with a grinder and then heat the snot out of it and use a tie rod puller. Twas easy.

Heat the end of the bracket above the bolt until a little red, then smack the bolt with a hammer. Comes right out.

This worked for me and my XJ is from the east coast. It eats stock bolts... Seriously.

Hey Rodimus dont mean to hijack the thread but what did TnT charge to do the stiffiners?

I don't remember, it was over a year and a half ago. Give Bob a call and he'll quote you a quick price.

well on my 92 they were threaded in so I just put the torx bit socket on my impact and zapped them out. :D

Gear puller wll work, or you can do like Tank and I did - cut the bolt and head off, and drive the remaining donut out with an air chisel.

I cut the head off then using an old bushing sleeve I had, i put it on the bolt and used the factory nut on an impact to pull it through

Thanks for the tips. We heated them up and knocked them out. The DS took awhile but the PS only took a couple whacks.
