Swamp Lake 2010 Pics

I think you took my flip off the wrong way, It was just a friendly hello. The video, was just a quick project for my family for my FB page, wasn't meant to entertain a hardcore wheeler. As for stopping making vids... well I do it for a living, so I won't be stopping for awhile!

Cheers

Jeremy

Letterman does mostly video of gay soft porn.

He focuses on the money shot so they really don't need to be that long in his eyes. :viking:

Mostly? Just the one time when you and GSequoia wanted to put your love making on film.

No need for hardcore rock climbing, even a day at a OHV park can be worth watching:

Really?
For a living?
An editor?

Not JUST an editor... I'm actually the Production Manger for CBS KBAK-TV and FOX KBFX-TV in Bakersfield. I control the look of our stations, create news animations, graphics, shoot and edit station commercials and such.
In my spare time I also shoot a bit for Pinned TV. You can see some of my work in the last two "King Of the Hammers" DVD's.

But you can call me an editor if you like... I wouldn't be offended... 8>)

You misunderstood me, I was not calling you an editor, I was questioning if you knew how to edit.

For a professional to spend all the time to shoot, digitize, add the music, and then all the time editing for such poor armature results does not make any sense. The time it took you to do all that for such a terrible end result with simple mistakes only bad first year video students make is why it looks like you do not know what you are doing.

I would have never guessed you were a Production Manager from a TV station from that painful video, and in my honest opinion, I still have a hard time believing you could be in video production for a living.

Nice... you live up to your reputation!

Did I say something wrong? No need to get all bent out of shape and attack me personaly.

What would your honest profesional opinion be about your video?

Would you really watch that again and again?

I have not attacked you personally, and I'm not bent... although you are attacking me and I get the sense you're trying to egg me on for some reason.
I would except your critique if I had worked hard to produced a wheeling video and I posted it in this forum to share. But I didn't. It is a simple project... a couple minutes shooting here and there. I shoot on solid state, so no need to digitize. Throw it on a timeline and render it out to post on FB for my family to see what my daughter and I did for the weekend. It's a five minute job at most. I don't know where you get that it takes all this time to do. I posted it on Socal because I already had it, so why not. Another person asked to cross-post it here.
It is what it is, not much more then some raw video from a wheeling trip.
I think you are ripping on it to give the impression you know what you are talking about. I don't know if you do or don't... don't care really. You're spending way too much time analyzing a vid I put together for my fam. Let it go man.

What is this:
Nice... you live up to your reputation!

Sounds like a cheep shot at my reputation.

although you are attacking me and I get the sense you're trying to egg me on for some reason.

I am not attacking you, I only posted my honest opinion on the poor quality of your video, and the lack of care for your work, not you.

One would think you would agree with what it and not try to defend it by posting up what a great video expert you are.

Sounds like a cheep shot at my reputation.

It was just my honest opinion, I'm sorry it offended you. I would think you would agree with it. It's clearly who you are.

I never posted up about what an expert I am (although I am frikin awesome! 8>) I posted who I am to let you know that I am well versed in video production, I don't need your unwanted critique.
And I didn't defend my video (as if I need to), I just put it into context. Your trying to critique like this is a 20 production hour project, when it's just a 10 minute rough cut for my family and friends.

Your critique is unwarranted, and unwanted. It's wheeling man, not a video production forum. Let it go.

Ok.
I am this big jerk with a bad reputation and you are this great guy!

Everyone knows who is who now!

Lets just move past personal attacks. I am only talking about your work on one video, nothing I have said has to do with you, just what I have seen in your work of one video.

Here is what I have got from you:
You are well versed in video production.
You spent little or no time on making the video.

Now in your professional opinion, was my unwarranted, and unwanted critique right?

Ok.
Now in your professional opinion, was my unwarranted, and unwanted critique right?

Your critique is wrong based on the fact you are taking it out of context. It's not meant to be a fast paced wheeling video, it's a rough cut vacation vid for my friends and family.

Let it go man, this isn't a video production forum.... why do you insist on dragging this out?

OK friends, back to talking about a damn nice wheeling trip. I got to take my two oldest grandsons on a trip for the first time and they had a blast! I also wheeled my full body XJ on 33's for the first time, it's been a long time since full body and 33's. The caster wasn't adjusted right and the front pinion yoke was hitting the UCA when the pass side tire drooped all the way, it added to the challenge to pick lines where the tire wouldn't drop out or the pass side rear wouldn't climb all the way. In the end the yoke broke anyway, and I finished half of Sun in hi range and 2wd with the hubs unlocked. Thankfully it has a Warn hub kit, came in handy.

As always, another great Swamp Lake trip.

Well here are a couple pics that Richard (98GhostXJ) took. This is the left line at the top of Rooster Rock. Pictures never do it justice but non the less I was denied!
