i just got this E-Mail so read it and lets do something......
SURPRISE! SURPRISE! The CBD, PEER, Desert Survivors, and the Sierra
Club have filed a 60 day notice of intent to sue the BLM and USF&WS
over
all of the desert management plans (NECO, NEMO, WEMO, WECO, Coachella
Valley, and the West Mojave Desert Off-Road Vehicle Designation
Project)
for not adequately protecting listed species and their habitats. They
cite the recent ruling by the ninth district court on the biological
opinion for the ISDRA as an example of the problems with the BLM
management plans. That will pretty much assure that this lawsuit will
be heard in the ninth district by the same judge that heard the ISDRA
case.
Who would have ever predicted that the enviros would sue over the new
desert district management plans???? This could very well lead to the
closure of the entire CA Desert District! It happened much sooner than
we expected since the enviros are capitalizing on the disastrous
response by the judge on the ISDRA biological opinion and critical
habitat designation. An excellent strategy on their part!
I understand that the insurance business is doing well these days. Oh
yes, OHV businesses are doing better than ever also (until tomorrow).
