Superstition trails.

mudhills and sand dam, supposedly trails out there, but the wusses I go with don't want to scratch their junk.

Hmmm... El Centro is a long way to go for mud hills and sand dunes.

im interested...im down in SD quite a bit and would love to find some trails...

Hoping to hit Corral Canyon in October... I know some other members are interested as well.

It's a nice little park with some good challanges.

SOOOO true. I went out there with my Buddy and his folks for the weekend. My buddys dad had alot of freinds out there with brand new JKs and they all to find some trails. Well after a couple hours of driving down a dirt road in 2WD they had enough 4-wheeling for the weekned.

Sorry, but this is entirely NOT true! Superstition has a variety of terrain types for Jeeps, buggies, bikes and quads....you want flat dirt with some whoops for JeepSpeed type runs and bikes, you got it. You want soft sandy hills, it's there. You want rocky trails and rock gardens....there also. Trails like Rabbits Foot, Tilted Table E-W or W-E, Broken Arrow, Black Cat, Jamie's Crack, Tow Strap Hill, Lost Dutchman, and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head.

One of the trails, Black Cat was just designated as on of BF Goodrich's Outstanding Trails for 2008 (1 of 6 nationwide http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgapp/outstandingtrails/pr-blackcat.html).

From San Diego, it's only about 2.5 hours east, and that includes a liesurely gas stop to top off and fill coolers.

Iv been going out to superstion for years. Not with my jeep but my Dirtbike. Nothing really out there for jeeps.

If you go, you have to do bronco connector from the campground and not turn around at the hill. :)

jeeptrick4 X2 on great trails at SSMountain.

They dont jump out at you off of pole line road. Most of entrances are fairly well hidden, especially the more radical stuff that lies well into the mountain in tight canyons. Link up with SD4Wheelers and attend one of the several annual Superstition events. You will have a totally different opinion of Superstition Mountain when its over.

I was thinking the same thing. Nothing for Jeeps? Then why does the San Diego 4 Wheelers club have a jinourmous event out there every year? Hundreds of rigs sign up. This year I tink was the 10th Anniv. There are trails form mild to wild. There are a lot of dunes. But there also plenty of other stuff. I haven't been since the third annual event in 2001. Just never make it for some reason.

This was the line-up for ONE out of the three or four runs
