Suggestions for Barnett Air Bump Mount Kit installation...

Do not all bumpstops have that lip on the end? Been looking at different brands and some don't have them... if they don't how would they stay in there in a hard hit?

You do not NEED the rubber isolater. And, you need a newer style radiator. The one with a cap(no resiviour needed)

thats where the overflow is on his XJ i believe. 91 was already the open system. not the closed renix cooling system with the pressure bottle on the passenger firewall

FatCity Ryan, mind posting a picture of where you mounted it? My engine bay is a little mixed up (OBA with AC, battery tray swap) so I want to see how much space those bottles you linked take up.

Ryan93 my air bumps are Fox 2.0, and they have a lip.

You say if I mount that kit, it won't last long. Barnett sells a kit that doesn't last long?

I'm saying in the hands of a know-nothing newbie, no job needing custom fabrication for the install will ever last long. It isn't a problem with the part, it is a problem with the end user.

In this photo, what is the top of that limit strap connected to?

Tracking. Everything I do on the XJ at this point is based on me becoming an "internet expert" on it and then trying it out. I appreciate the help from everyone one here, even the ones pointing out I'm a clown for not running a cage.

I can't do any metal work, so anything that requires tools other than basic hand tools goes to a buddy of mine that has a shop in his backyard.

Our league is a lot different than Jeepspeed. We don't reach anywhere near the speeds you guys do, and almost never leave the ground (unless someone is just showing off), but a lot of the experience people on here have with Jeepspeed (parts, technology, etc.) I think translates very well to our league.

DieselSJ, I went back and read my post, and I didn't mean to come off that way. I was just concerned I had made a bad choice in buying the kit.

I'm getting the bumps charged early next week and should have some videos of them in action by next weekend so others looking to do the install can see how mine perform.
