Subwoofer in my XJ

Hello all...sorry for not responding sooner but this is the first time I've been back online since I posted.

To answer the questions...

1) Does the speaker say "demented doggie"?
No, as someone else pointed out it says "Elemental Designs".

2) What size is it? It's a 10". They had a really good deal going...$70 shipped and it arrived within 2 days.

3) Does it sound good? Yes, not as good as it could sound because I didn't do a perfect job on building the box

4) How did you mount the board to the body? Basically I built a box on the backside of the board and then mounted the lip to the body and ran the wires through the kick panels and mounted the amp under the rear seat.

Here are some more pictures...also I plan to redo the install by building a fiberglass box so that it's completely sealed. This process will start Friday and I'll document with pictures as I go.

Oh and thank you all for the kudos!

I just googled "cartoon doggies" and sorted through a few until I found one that fit.

Sometimes you just gotta go with what feels right....

My old XJ had a stealth sub in the rear cubby. It was in a particle board box with factory grey carpet over the whole thing. A little small but so stealth I didn't even notice it when I bought the XJ. The genious I got it from pulled out the radio but left the amps under the seat and sub in the back. He probably didn't know they were there either LOL. When I finally hooked up a new radio and heard it thumping I was all "Bonus!"

What about the rest of the system/speakers?

Well, when I got the Jeep it didn't have a head unit in it at all...so I bought a Pioneer HU and when I went to power it on I noticed that the front speakers weren't working...they were completely blown...not working at all.

So I replaced the fronts with Infiniti 5 1/4. I haven't touched the rear speakers yet, I can only assume they are factory.

I'm not sure if I'm going to amp the front and rear speakers yet...
