Lots of room for amps under back seat. One Kenwood 320 4 channel and an Alpine V series for the sub.

Update: I tried for months to find a JL Stealthbox recommended by Urban Yan and had 2 deals fall through because they decided not to sell... So I planned to DIY something but ended up having something built for cheap instead. I don't have the patience required to fab something nice.

Now I think I'm finally done (although I may go with a new deck with HD radio or satellite). The whole setup is:
Cheap Sony Head Unit
4 Pioneer 2-way 6.5"s (yes, they fit in the rear also)
Phoenix Gold XS2300 (~300 watts)
Dayton Audio 10" Subwoofer

I already made another thread about the sub, so I won't go into the whole story here.

Nice install Twisted. I bought the same grille, but I never installed it. I didn't have it my heart to drill holes in the stealthbox.

Nomercy. the tweeter just hooks up to the crossover from my component set. There was room enough inside the doors to hide them. Component systems usually come with top mount and flush mount hardware for the tweeters.

Premier DEHP690UB & 80G Hard Drive
Kicker KX350.2 Powering the KS525's
Kicker KS525 Front Speakers
Kicker KS525 Rears
Kicker ZX1000.1 Amp
Kicker 15" CVX W/ Kicker Grille
4Ft^3 Ported Box at 32Hz
Kicker 4 & 8 Gauge Wire Kits

i dont mean to brag or anything. but you need to clean up the sound its very rough and staticy not clean at all. i ahve a audiobahh 12 powerd by kicker amps and pioneer speakers allroundon kicker amp . and its louder and cleaner. try to dynomat and upgrade wiring

its rough and staticy because the mic on the camera can't pick up some of the frequencies. The dude is trying at least he has a decent setup and a 12 in audiobahn isn't gonna hit as hard as a CVX in a 4 cube box with a 1000.1 driving it.

so you cut the holes in the door panels? just want to make sure this isnt something that came from the factory with the infinity system

I bought some Infinity speakers for the fronts (thebest onesthat Best Buy has) and one of those Infinity Bass cube things. It's plenty good enough for a jeep.

yup. We drilled holes for those tweeters.
The factory infinity tweeters were mounted in pods higher up... above the door panels... on the opposite side of the exterior mirrors. I tried to find a pic to explain things better, but I couldn't find one.

you could also probably mount those tweeters onthe little plastic cover that goes over the side mirrors. that was a location I thought of while considering seperates

I have the infinity system. The factory tweeter pods are really small and would not accept any of the aftermarket tweeters I looked at.

I eneded up keeping the Inifinity tweeters and used different 6 1/2's

I had this porblem after I tried installing the tweeters that came with my Infinity Reference series components so I just pried off the metal grill that comes on them and then they fit perfectly behind the factory Infinity pods.

I stand corrected. I honestly thought there was a chance to retrofit new tweeters into those pods.

Im sure this has been discussed so excuse my ignorance. With the demand of Stealboxes to ratio of available stealboxes, why dont more people go with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JEEP...80QQitemZ250298575580QQptZCarQ5fAudioQ5fVideo ?

Im sure if you put some fabric over it it might look better.
Those XJ pods only hold an 8" sub. The stealthbox was made for 10" subs. It's a shame JL stopped making them.
