Nice w7 man. Have you looked at mounting the amp under the rear seat? Or even on the back of the rear seat so the box hides it

haha, i got bored this morning and actually did exactly that. my memphis is a large amp and it fit under the left rear seat. its a tight fit. i also got lucky because the only place under the seat where the amp can get fresh air directly where the amp fan is, so it worked perfect. i also put in my xj-pod, its run straight to my deck. many people dont the xj-pods, but when its not run through an amp it doesnt sound to bad.

I'm one of the very few guys that actually has a stealthbox, so let me tell you with great certainty to buy the damn thing !!! These boxes have-been discontinued for a long time, and there's a line-up of people looking for one of them. You will, most likely, get the same money back if you ever decide to sell it yourself.

Cool thanks man! In your opinion, should I get the 10" JL sub with it too? I don't know anything about JL subs, so I don't know how loud it would be (but I guess that also would depend on the amp I have). He's offering the box for $150 and sold as a set with the sub and grille, $250.

It depends on the subwoofer, and its condition. If it's a higher-end/ pampered JL sub than buy the whole thing. If it's an entry level JL sub that looks like its been abused than just get the box.

But wow !!! $150 for that box is a heck-of-a-deal !!!

Well he said the sub has only been used for a year and only at 200 RMS. Here's the rest of the specs on the sub:

hmm. I wish I knew more about that JL sub. If you think the seller's honest than go for it. Mind you, don't sleep too long on that stealthbox... they're really hard to come by. I spent a good 6-8months looking for mine.

Good stuff. oh, and if it has a few scuffs you can always have it painted/ color-matched to your interior. I had my stealthbox painted the same dark charcoal as my interior.

just buy a new sub. It will last longer. I recommend Kicker for that box

I got 2 12" Kenwood cyclone woofers, 1 1000 watt kenwood amp, 1 jbl 600 watt amp, 2 6x9's, 2 5 1/4's, 2 tweeters, custom box, equalizer, 3.0 farad cap, hits extremely hard....pulled a 150 decibals at a local car show...

That's why I like my stealth install (JL stealthbox in the cubby hole/ amps hidden under the rear bench). I picked up 2 fairly large tool boxes recently, and they fit in the trunk without a problem. I wouldn't be able to do that if had a large sub enclosure, or if I had my amps mounted on the back of the rear bench.

I built this to cover mine and add some usable storage space. Having two levels of storage area works better for what I haul.

Plus if I go out to the trail, I pull the box out.....(don't worry, when I am done, it will have matching subs. I took the pic the day I got the box...)
