i have a 93 xj no stereo i think it has stock speakers. just bought it. i was thinkin since i have a very tight budget just a cheap reciver new speakers in the doors for mid range and a pair of 12s in a bandpass box. im lookin for cheap and easy installaiton and still good sound. any sugestions for brands or websites would help alot.

ebay. my first system came from there and it was 2 12's in a b-pass box with a amp. it was cheap speakers(reactor) and amp just as cheap(legacy) however teh two of them combined sounded damn good, and was dirt cheap. not saying you should look for those in particular, but ebay is your friend. if you wanna step up, i am tryinig to sell my 18" treo in a custom box with a 1200watt JBL amp.

I woudlnt buy subs and amps from ebay...unfortunatly people do screw people off on ebay... i myself got ripped off so Me and ebay are no longer friends. I wud say go to best buy or something like that and get some cheap speakers. And I have bought subs from Best buy and they arent bad at all.. Also www.crutchfield.com and also www.woofersect.com has really good prices and really good things.

legacy is a cheapo sub, but if you get 2 12's in bandpass box you will be happy, especially since it is only 130$

a bandpass box is probably the worst route you can go in my opinion. sure they look good and wow u get to see your subs but the sound quality is just not there. i had 2 audiobahn 125x 12's with 2000 wats from an audiobahn amp and an audiobahn digital cap, not in a bandpass box and it probably 10 times cleaner than any bandpass. if your looking for cheap just try ebay and get a regualar box. i had mine custom made if u want i will show u a pic of my 12 in it.
