With that compresion I would say you MAY need a colder plug BUT if you have at least a fresh(er) set of stock plugs. I would run them for a baseline. Then adjust as needed. If this is a fresh build? Watch your plugs close at first. They will tell you more about what's going on inside your engine then anything.

Higher compression generally don't like big gaps so start with 35. You can open it up. I say .1 at a jump. But if no improvement is to be had in HP or MPG or what ever you after. Then a big gap will generally just promote misfire and/or shorten your plug life.

Also make notes on all mods. No don't tell your buddy you can spell and wright so do it when no one is watching. It will keep you from making the same mistakes down the line.
or When you try something ones and it don't work. It's called experimenting. The second time the it false. It's called stupid (IMO)

this is a fresh build, thanks for the info that makes alot of sense to follow the trail that the plug leaves me...hopefully I have it in next week
