Strange electrical problem

I was wiring my interior lights (using my old overhead console instead of the tiny/dangling light it came with) . I had finished connecting itand it was working fine. u could open the door and the lights would come on. but as i had held it in place just to check to make sure it fit fine (had reattached the mount) it went out and my buddy said he heard a pop by the fuse box. I hadn't taped the connections yet because i had to find it so i think i either shorted the source to the roof (got no cloth) or the pos/neg touched each other). i figured no big deal just popped a fuse. checked fuses non were burnt. so now i have no dome light and i noticed my clock and my radio won't work. radio's fuse isn't blown and here is the srange part. the cigarette lighter still works. when i pull the radio fuse on the panel it cuts out the cig lighter. so whatever got fried is only affecting the lights, clock and radio. Any idea where to start? any fuseable links anywhere? Common problems? Or am i stuck chasing wires?

Usually the clock, radio memory and interior lights share a fuse, so everything in your story is consistent with a blown fuse. Double check the fuses. If it isn't that, you'll have to trace wires until you find what went.
