Congrats. He just stereotyped an entire religion.

I'm Christian, but I sure as @#!*% don't have anything in common with evangelists that slap people on the head, tell them they're healed, and ask for their credit card. Get it? Ah forget it.

:yap:

How many planes have the Islamic Jihadists crashed into your country?

How many Canadians have they murdered on Canadian soil?

I'm Christian too....."convert to Islam or die" is not on my agenda, how about yours?

You are either against Evil or for Evil........pick a side.

Any religion, don't care what it is, that has a convert or die requirement needs to be stamped out, permanently by whatever means necessary.

Wow. Lot of anger built up there.

Tom's 1st reaction thoughts.

Banning the building of the mosque is a strike on freedom just as removing crosses from the middle of the Mojave.
Building the mosque in that location is in poor taste, is not by coincidence and by design meant to be provocative.
Condemning the entire Islamic religion based on the jidhadist terrorists actions could be akin to banning Christianity for abortion clinc bombings and murder of doctors. Maybe not in total numbers, but in actions. Murder for the sake of religion.
Christians have implemented the convert or die practice at times also.

Is it the religion or the culture of the middle east that makes people there seem so angry all the time? The Taliban destroying the two ancient carved Budhas is an example.

So it all boils down to asking oneself...what would Jesus do?

I am no fan of Islam, or ANY religion for that matter. That being said:
Christianity is also in in the business of "converting" lost souls. They do it not by threatening violence, just everlasting fire.
Believe or burn forever, What a load of hooey.
Their methods could be considered more dangerous, because the convertee is brainwashed, unaware of the hidden agenda. Islam states plainly what their intent is. Christianity's intent in the end is the same, only the technique is disguised.

So all 1 billion muslims on this planet are Evil? Well that's good to know.

Jesus would-have rebuilt the twin towers by now. He was a kick-ass carpenter afterall.

I'm pretty sure the difference is that the Bible says nothing about "fight them, kill anyone who doesn't convert" while the Koran does.

That being said, I haven't read the bible in years and I have never read the Koran and probably never will. So I could be completely wrong on this.

Anyone who goes for the whole holy war thing is using religion as a means to an end in either case, same goes for the crusaders, the jihadists, the abortion clinic bombers, etc. I don't seem to recall the Jews ever going for this sort of thing except when they went to the promised land and took it by force (not so much a religious war as a colonization), ever since then people seem to have mostly started fights with them and lost.

No, just those that kill women, children in the name of Allah.

No, he would still be talking about it. Those that can, do, those that can't, preach.

meh, the bible never said to support a bigot for congress, kill the Jews, start holy crusades (in exchange for penance), or wage an inquisition across europe and the americas, yet we've been there and done that.

Congrats. He just stereotyped an entire religion.

I heard "Islamic Jihadists", not quite a Billion Muslims in that category.

I'm Christian, but I sure as hell don't have anything in common with evangelists that slap people on the head, tell them they're healed, and ask for their credit card. Get it? Ah forget it.

Agree building the mosque close to 911 site is in very poor taste. The very freedom we cherish and support as being americans allow this though. Typically when the country comes down to being "Politically Correct" this is what happens.

Is all Muslems bad, NO but you know the ole saying..."One bad apple spoils the Bunch". So it is up to the Muslem community to place the divide. And the U.S. to stop the jihadists before anymore american lives are taken on our very own soil....

Urban Yan: Yep... see the latter portion of my post for my reasoning behind that. People have been twisting religion to gain political power for thousands of years.

Makes me wonder what people are going to use to gain political power without religion... oh wait, deceit, lies, and treachery as usual.
