What stock-ish wheels look good on a later model XJ? Like Jeep Rubicon or Unlimited wheels etc. I have 31x10.50x15 BFG MT's... let's see what you guys used.

You'll laugh, but I always thought the oldschool steelies looked great on lifted XJs... plus they can be painted.

My favourite stock wheels are the TJ Rubicons and the 5.9 "freedom" wheels.
Both of those rims are 16" so they wouldn't match his tires, but those freedom/ 5.9rims are my
favorite as well. I wish someone made a replica in an 18x8 size (but there I go dreaming again).

The Rubicon rims are getting a little too commonplace nowadays, but I knew a guy that painted
his gunmetal... they looked amazing with that finish.

I have a Set of Grizzley off of a 97 Wrangler on my 94 and a set of the Gold honey combs on my 87 wagoneer limited. Both are on 31s and they stuff Nicely with out cutting the fenders. Also have a set of 5 spoke that I painted with hammered metal gray and they Looked like the teflon coated wheels.

I agree:

hehehe, I scored a set of 4 at the junkard for $88(buddy needed one so I let him have it)
I got a set of 4(one bad wheel and bad tire, so really a set of 3) for $150.
I got scored a pristine set of 4 wheels and 4 decent tires for $300.

So now I have 2 extra sets of 5 silverstars for, plus the 5 on the CRD, and the 4 on the yellow XJ.

I'm just rolling in these suckers!

I like the KJ rims, but they are 16s. I think the old steelies that Urban mentioned looked good, Ive seen a couple painted to give it a unique look. Plus you can get a trim ring that gives it a more finished look.

I took the plain old sport wheels sanded primed and painted a dark gray for my moms xj and it really made a world of difference in appearance. Mostly any clean not rusted rim will look good with a 31" tire on it. I don't know why. :D

black Soft 8's FTW!!

I know someone mentioned these being too common now, but i think they look great on a white xj. After I rash them up a bit I will paint them flat black or the gun metal color....those looked slick.

I always liked the rims on my Jeep, but I always thought they needed to be painted gunmetal or black.

This is an old picture and I have a Nates4x4 front bumper now and 30x9.5s

I have this wheel as a spare. The rest of them are american racing wheels but they look good. I'd like a full set of these old ones but I'm not gonna swap out. Maybe for another project.
I had a set of those honeycomb gold wheels from my father's limited and painted them black, they looked great with the 30's on them.

I want a set of moabs bad for my street Mj build. I just can't find any for a price I am willing to pay. Everyone around here seems to think they are worth $1000 used.
