stock height or a little more for a road cherokee?

I'd like to go about 3 inches over stock for the new suspension on the red jeep, but was wondering anyone had the same lift and if it affected the gas milage

I'm at about 4" with 235/85x15 duratracs. Mileage difference was small if any from stock (sagging) suspension and sport king tires (same size)

Adding a suspension lift shouldn't affect mileage. It's when you change tire diameter that you will notice a change.

I have a 2001 with 5spd. 2" lift with 31s. The jeep is doing about 19.5 MPG. I am short shifting into higher gears early.

Also # of miles on drivetrain and maintenance of can effect mileage.

I am running a 4" w/ 31's and getting 15mpg. It was purchased with a 3" but raised to 4" for future 33's and still around 15mpg but it also has 230k hard miles and daily driver.

My speedo is about 5% off, so I make sure I add that much back into the total mileage when figuring out MPG.

That was a long time ago, but I was getting 18-20 with 265/70-15 on a 3" lift. The mileage dropped when I went to 31" mud tires. Even with everything I've done to my jeep I still get 18-20 when I run smaller street tires, mileage is GPS tracked since my SYE install.

Edit: I forgot I don't have a signature line here. I currently have 1988 Jeep Cherokee with ~6" of lift, Dana 44s, 4.30 gearing w/Detroits, 37/12.50 Maxxis Creepy Crawlers.
