steering box choices? AGR, PSC & durango

Do the YJ box and WJ pump bolt straight up?

Yes....The YJ gear bolts right up. And the WJ 2001-2004 pump did on my 98 and 2000 with zero issues. Not sure about other years.

The steering gear is very nice. Drives much tighter with no dead spots. Mine had 4 bolts and I only used the three bolts with my c-rok and its just fine

i meant not as good as the XJ box on the highway. i have a YJ boxon mine and it does fine on and off road

If you want a highway friendly box get one from a 93-98 ZJ. The stock XJ box steering ratio is 14.1:1 while the ZJ box is 12.7:1, quite a bit quicker but still not too quick for off-road. Standard Saginaw 3-bolt pattern. I'm using this box w. an 04 TJ pump on my 91 MJ and it's great.

Bringing this back from the dead as I'm in the market for a New box. Mine is leaking like crazy!

So with 35's a Dana 30, what do you guys recommend? I was told tommy lee was a good choice with PSC coming in 2nd and AGR 3rd. I'd like something with better components and the ability to work well on the trails.

Tommy Lee, PSC, and AGR all make good product. Unless someone has worked on the same stuff with all three I doubt you will get a reasonable review.

I love the red carpet that PSC lays out when I have issues and because of it I will continue to do business with them.

I went the durango box on the MJ. I am trying to avoid going hydro assist on there and it works 'ok' with 37s.

A friend of mine just swapped over to full hydro steering, so I got his YJ box and PSC ram for $100. He recently rebuilt and tapped the box for assist, plus gave me the lines to the ram. JCR 4-bolt steering adapter plates are on the way to fix the big crack that I just discovered in the unibody right behind the steering box. Should be interesting to see how it all works out.

I'd get the crack welded up first for sure then maybe weld the JCR plate over it as a band-aid. If you don't weld the crack it will just keep spreading, not good.

So do you think the OEM Upgrade that PSC offers is a good deal/idea with my set up?

or do i need to go up to this?

ALso, is it recommended to upgrade the power steering pump for either Steering box?

There are a ton of options but yeah. The best bet is to send yours in for rebuild and save a ton of $$$.

I called you but you didn't answer. Call me later.
