Register a Domain Name that you want, normally well under $10 a year. Get hosting, unless your ISP provides it. Create and upload the pages.
In theory, pretty simple. Get as fancy or as simple as you want to get with your web page.
There are many hosts out there... some good, some not. I know who my favorite is though..

GoDaddy can register your site for 8 bucks a year. good service, its what i use on all of mine.
AtlNetworks has hosting for 30 bucks a year. if your ISP doesnt provide hosting, this would be a good place to go. i have 5 sites hosted there, they all work great with not a lot of downtime.

Godaddy is 8.95 a year
I sell the same product for 8.85 a year.
Hosting for $30 a year? Not going to touch that....
However, I am a Jeeper, Club Member.... been around a while, and will be around for a long time on these forums... Just something to think about.

I can relate. Just curious.. . I mean, I can buy beer from the cheapest national piss brewer, or I can buy from the local brew meister. When broke... I but cheap. When I have a buck or two, and want quality beer... I buy from the local brew pub making good stuff... and they know my name. Both have alcohol.... just differening quality and personality

Tis a good analogy, and why I got Bud Light this weekend vs Guinness or Sierra Nevada (Jeep ate my Piggy Bank again)
Just like Jeep Parts...I like to support one particular vendor (who is semi-local and has been with us since the beginning) whenever possible, but have sourced some specialty parts elsewhere for a bit more $$. Come to think of it, I have gotten excellent, prompt service from ALL the Jeep parts vendors I have dealt with...must be a karma thing.

as far as the $30 hosting, it works killer, and my sites have never seen much downtime.. they dont see a lot of trafffic, but you cant go wrong for 30/yr! believe it or not
