spring creek 3-29

i think chinamans will prove to be a good "test" ground for everyones new parts/toys and the drivers themselves...

...haven't done anything challenging? Like we were talking about the other day - you're in a whole other league now. You're going to have to hit up Carnage BV if you want challenging. :D

You ain't far behind me mister, what with your front and rear lockers and 5.5" lift. Your tires might be a little small, but you've still got a lot of clearence. Want some 35's? :D They'll fit, I promise.

So with the current weather/forecast, I'm thinking the weekend is more fit for snowboarding than wheeling shelf roads...

But, if someone has any ideas of an alternate trail I'll at least consider it (I'm really itching to wheel somewhere!), but without a winch I'm thinking anything with deep snow is a no-go. :-p

Last year we ran Saxon on Father's day, a few guys at the top had just broke all the way through on Spring Creek that morning. Last year anyway...

I don't have a XJ any longer but I have a JK now. I am trying to get a run together for Slaughterhouse on Saturday. If your down hit me up!!! I am not sure how much snow there will be but sounds like there should be a couple feet so frond and rear tow points, recovey gear and at least 11.50 or 12.50 wide tires will be required

Looks like this weekend may be for the most seasoned....... SNOW and more SNOW!!!! If any of you are still going, you had better pack some cold weather gear w/ extra food and water and a means to keep warm!!! I lost a best friend back in '98 in a storm just like this when he went hiking with his stepson and friend!!! BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!

I'll most likely be out too, especially since I'll have my son. It's one thing to risk just myself on snowy shelf roads...

Ditto

Sat and Sun now are suppose to be nice, 50 degrees, but not enough time to melt anything major. Maybe we can find something that would be fun/challenging without endangering the little ones? Then delay Spring Creek for early April?

I'm down for pushing Spring Creek to next weekend, preferably Saturday, but Sunday can work too. That's my birthday weekend. party1:

i can't do next weekend, I've got drill. I
d be down for an easier trail sunday. Slaughterhouse could be fun with all the snow, but I've got plans for sat.

Apparently, its ok with me though as I've got stuff to do in my garage. Maybe I'll start building my workbench.

I have been down the last 24 hours with a sore throat and temp, so I did not get a chance to go cruising up there to check out Spring Gulch or Cascade creek, but the forecast calls for 30 degree weather while we get 60 degree down here on Sunday.

It makes sense if we delay this until the 11th or 12th that would be the weekend before the shakedown run which I do not mind, others probably do not care either. Since I am probably not running the shakedown run now cause I will be out of town the weekend after for my B-day!

It is all your guy's final decision I will be down for it!
