Spectrum Sludge as bedliner?

I'm thinking of using Spectrum Sludge as a bedliner for the interior of the XJ... I thought about applying it and then putting the carpet back on, but in removable sections so that if I'm going off road or skiing I can just pull the carpet and not worry about anything getting wet. (Basically I'd like it to do the job that Herc or bediner would do, but not all the time as I would be putting the carpet back in...)

Anyone have any experience with it or opinions?

I thought about doing something similar in my project XJ, that is, removable carpet over a liner product.

No experience with that product. The only problem I could see is, it's designed as a sound deadener, not a bed liner. It might not stand up to abuse the way beadliner is designed to.

Check it out! both of these posters have only posted about "qwik liner" bedliner, have <name><number> usernames, and so does the dude over there posting about putting it in boats.

I can't figure out if "qwik liner" just has a really horrible marketing dept, some sort of stupid referral program, or just hires abysmal PR companies...

I don't think spectrum sludge is designed to stand up to elements. I've seen a ton of people put in Raptor Liner. I have a gallon of it sitting in the garage, and did some test pieces that came out really really nice. Only problem is, it's spray in so you have to mask.
