www.woofersetc.com, they are pretty legit and are always super cheap.
systems boil down to how its installed not what you have. you dont need a super duper head unit. my 80 dollar kenwood is 10X better than my 250 dollar alpine. my 49 dollar pioneer door speakers sound just as good w/o an amp running off my head unit power compared to my 200 dollar crystal audio and 250 dollar focal speakers that are running off amp power. i bought a MTX terminator sub system for 300 dollars which is 2 12's an amp and box. and it sounds almost as good as my image dynamic sub running off a diamond audio amp that i have in my honda.
what im getting at is this. i put higher end stuff in my honda thinking i was going to get high end sound... i did get good sound and it does sound very good, it's just not worth spending all that extra money on name brand.
i put a very base system in my jeep just cause it goes into water and dirt etc. and i wanted to be able to replace stuff without breaking the bank i never would have expected the system in my jeep to perform just as well as my honda that i put all the money into.
and keep in mind that those speakers you buy that are higher wattage require more power from your charging system in your vehicle and put more of a strain on your alt/ battery. a low wattage speaker will sound better with more power to it (25 watt speaker with 40 watts) than a higher watt speaker with not enough power to it (40 watt amp with 150watt rms speaker)
i wish i could show you in person just how good my system sound and performs and all i spent on it was 500 dollars RETAIL on EVERYTHING... thats super cheap in my book
Getting tube for my truck and car because they don't have enough room. There are certain tubes that suck, you have to know what to look at. In my jeep right now I have an alpine head unit with infinity speakers a no brand amp but pumps like crazy and a 12 inch infinity dual coil sub in a ported box.
Those infinity bass cubes are really awesome, I was thinking about that in place of the bazooka tubes but they are more expensive and harder to find.
Right now my jeep plays music so crisp and clear and the bass hits so hard that I can give myself a headache within 60 seconds of listening to it and its not even at max volume.
Future plans are to run an amp for HPF (High Power Frequency) to the door speakers hatch speakers, and soundbar. And another amp for the Sub.
:lecture:
buddy HPF = high pass filter
2: bazookas are no bueno
3: infinity subs are not THAT LOUD to give you a headache, i've been in trucks with 4 12's and 3000 watts throwing down 150 decibles with no headaches...
