Wanting to know if anyone "MODIFIED" a 91 spare tire carrier to fit a 98 XJ doesnt belong in the "MODIFIED" section????

Post got deleted, why? Where should I have put a post about "MODIFYING" something???

I dont see a forum for "ADAPTING"...... And I hardly doubt this would be considered "ADVANCED FAB".

Since mounting a tire carrier from a 91 to a 98 is not a direct bolt-on app. I dont see how it would fit in "OEM"

Is there a forum called "MOUNT A SPARE TIRE CARRIER FROM A 91 XJ TO YOUR 98 XJ"??

Or did they just DELETE it?

"MY" problem is I did a search to find out if anyone had adapted the tire carrier to fit my year.... I found nothing so asked if anyone here had already done it..... Post got deleted......

Not like I am asking what ratio R&P for a 32" tire.......

If you think Jeeps are so identical then I suggest you do a little more research.......

And that is why I can see each of your arguments. But again the moderator has more authority. If I was you I would post the same thread in OEM section, then, if its gets deleted, I would have an issue. But you haven't and it didn't so be happy.

This is not OEM, it is a modified ? he is asking...... That is how i see it....OEM just bolts up....

It belongs in Mod-Tech (in my opinion). It was clearly a mistake that it was deleted. Even if the mod thought it belonged in OEM, they would have moved it, not deleted it.

It was reported (probably by somebody that didn't see the question), and when the mod checked it, they didn't see it either. I didn't see it myself until I read your second post.
