BTW, that's not really unloading, that was just a silly line.

Is there a reason you couldn't just go straight at the obstacle, and with less skinny. By the looks of it, you just hit the pedal at the wrong time and took way too much of an angle.----------Kyle

there are trees behind, so you can't really get any better approach at it. if he were any more perpendicular to the wall, his bumper would have hit first before the driver side started climbing.

Ya, it was still a retarded line. :)

I've had a chance to take a good look at the video. I'm trying to make up excuses in my mind so that I don't look like an idiot, but I'm not coming up with anything at the moment... I am generally a very conservative driver that takes the occasional risk, and this one got me. I can say that I have been over two other times besides this one, and this one was very unique in that there was no indication that I was going over. With the other rolls, I knew that there was a possibility, and when it happened it was very predictable. This was just hit rock and roll over. The video makes me look like I was going faster than I feel I was going, but I guess I can't defend that when it looks like I'm lining up for take off. I'd still trust Denis spotting me - sometimes things happen...

Next time, Denis, we won't post any video so that these guys can't form their own opinions. That's how it's done , right???

So, keep firing away boys and girls, but include some tips on how to do some cheap body work. I just got a quote from our local body guy, and he wants over $500 just to straighten things out. I know there has to be cheaper ways.

That seems damn cheap if thats to straighten out everything that got crunched. Body work is expensive and I bet if you went to a regular shop it would be well over $2k.

Is it still perfectly driveable? Why not keep it like it is? Its gonna happen again.....

i'm guessing he means just enough to get the windshield and doors to fit properly

Looks like you going a bit fast off ond on the throttle on the other vids too!

After watching the videos, I thought the same thing. I don't think they are quite in real time, since my buddy at the top of the bowl in the 2nd bowl video flails his arms around like a hummingbird. I admit, I'm still getting used to the auto, but I know I wasn't going that fast... As I said before, it's hard to defend myself when they clearly have me trying to leave earth's orbit.

How about that 'not-really a full blown roll cage' angle this started to take? I'd be interested in something beefier than factory body but not as space invading/expensive as the real thing.

if you're lookin to save the body and windshield then you need an EXO cage. 1.75", .120 wall is great for ROLL cage, but you could use smaller stuff for a FLOP cage. like 1.5", or dare I say it, 1" shcd. 40 pipe (1.31 OD)

When I flopped my Jeep I put new doors on it and paid a body shop around $500 to straighten the roof, b-pillar and fit the doors properly. I also had them switch some of the power guts from the old doors into the new doors.

The damage to the flare and door were already there in this pic:
