I have a job offer in Wacko er... Waco. That If I wanted would start shortly after graduation this winter. My other options include moving to oregon, california, mexico, or china. However I havn't seen the starting pay for any of these jobs yet and would actually prefer a mobile job to a stationary one given a potential boost in pay and the fact that I currently find myself single without a permanent residence.

so, tell me Texans.

What's around Waco?

Well....its a short drive to Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas.

Honestly, the closest to Waco I've been was my stays at Fort Hood but from what I remember, Waco wasn't too bad of a place. Trying to rack my brain on what was around there to go do and what not. But I mean, as far as off road stuff there are a few around the Austin area. Which, I gotta admit, that is a plus to Waco, its in between everything.

It's a small big town. There's not a lot to do there really. It is close enough to DFW and Austin/San Antone. More important, it's close enough to hill country wheeling for long day trips.

Roger lives in Eddy which is a stone's throw south. There's a Cali guy, can't remember his name for the life of me, going to Baylor but I don't think his jeep is here with him. I'm a little farther south in Round Rock. There's others.

That being said, oklahomoans usually aren't invited to live in Texas. Have you put in your application?

Besides Big 12 sports go to dallas or Austin for pro sports...

Have the lake and the rivers... With Baylor there are clubs around and plent of restaurants.

Like they said it's a small town but the area is 350,000 with outlying little cities.

What are you looking for??? there is no 6th street ;)

Cost of living is low!!!
