So, how many....

I can't say I'm a fan, although Type O has some pretty cool riffs now and again, but I saw them open for Queensryce on the Empire tour in what... 1992? While they weren't my bag, they had pretty impressive chops and I think most of the audience was fairly impressed.

I think what does it for me is their deep heavy sound mixed with Peter Steeles deep voice. I hate when a band has good sound and then they singer starts and it sounds like he just hit puberty.

HAHA in a good way right? like weasel stomping?

Yeah im a bit of a fanatic toward soilwork, seen them about 15 times, obviously that includes a few other states!

Anybody who doesnt know soilwork, heres a little vid for ya! Its newer stuff, but shows the vocalists amazing range!

Dang, I missed out on this cool thread while I was out of town for a few days.

My roots are in metal, but I haven't been keeping up with the new stuff very well. I'm still listening to old school Entombed, Carcass, Six Feet Under, Grip Inc., Fear Factory, Sepultura, White Zombie, etc. For the newer stuff I'm digging bands like Atreyu and Bullet For My Valentine... kind of a punk-metal fusion.

Then there's the flip side of me that enjoys stuff like spanish guitar and classical. :D

Old Atreyu is much better than their new stuff. For new stuff I also like Killswitch Engage, Poison The Well, From Autumn To Ashes. Good stuff.

Thanks Ira, there's another night of my life I'll never get back. :eyes:

First it was listen to your Goth links, interesting stuff. Then it was the female Goth singers. Then I got to searching for some Uriah Heep...One search led to another and it was golden oldies night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVDq10wkgT0&feature=channel_page

Damn youtube and it's search function!

Draconian does some interesting stuff, I'll have to listen a little more in-depth.

I thought that was a Pontiac?

Nope - definitely an '68/'69 Charger with the headlight doors open.
