Kind of a good day... finally after 10.5 mons. I was able to get the stepfather's Chevota into my name... this is probably the only Toyota I'd want to own... it's 40% Toyota... 50% Chevy & 10% JEEP...
Bittersweet seeing as how today being Sept. 11... I'll always remember the day it became mine though...

1971 FJ-40... Wilson Bros. 412ish cu. (400 SBC) port injected, 700R4 with a Dana 300 T-case, 1976 FJ frontend with disks & a Gov-Loc, Hicks 4X4 D-60 with a Detroit & I believe 4.11s... All fairly common FJ mods. & other than the guy who built it it's much like many other Chevotas.
No real other picts. right now... this was his 3rd. FJ... the will stated "to Curt I leave the Toyota (the love of my life)" 10.5 mons. later it was legally mine... it was touchy as the will wasn't "legal" the exe. of the will was amazingly cool with it being mine and knew what his intentions were.
I actually stole it earlier in the year due to multiple break ins at his pad and the thought of it being cannibalized was killing me. I took it knowing it might not wind up mine, but at least it would be in one piece.
We were ALWAYS arguing the FJ vs. CJ point... DON'T ! call it a JEEP... we'd both go off on the poor fool who made that mistake...
I mainly want to get in back on the road & just drive it... he & it were fairly well know in town & it'll do good to get it out & about... it needs some TLC (yep that WAS a pun) so it'll be a little while...

It really is quite the raunchy behemoth...
