So Cal desert rats

Thanks for your help scott! Its always nice to know an old guy who just sits around all day waiting to help one of us youngins! Lol! The jeep handled well, didn't notice to much shifting through the whoops on dillion rd at 80mph! The funny thing is when I make right turns I feel like the truck leans a little more cause of the axel shift....probably all in my head! As far as your extra stock track bar, I'll drive it around for a bit and see but I am in no rush to deal with that stupid cotter pin again! Thanks again scott, I owe u one!

Tone's was doing that after some track bar work, axle wasn't centered.

Yep, it is for a 4.5 lift and he has a 3" lift, so i can't center the axle. But his stock track bar was a POS and the TRE was broken. It would just fall back and fourth, this was after he filled it with grease.
So i guess i need to put the stock used one i found under his jeep till we can take our time to try to setup his new adjustable his has under it now. I don't want to redrill the hole to the passangerside so i move his axle over a 1/2".From the looks of things it would be a bitch to get it to bolt up right after.
Just need more time to look at it.

No problem.Like i said i forgot about it sitting there. It also has the frame mount on it.Just bring the pickle fork and your jeep when we can spend some time and i can center the axle. It's just that easy, i think the track bar is just to long for your lift.

I hear Ya, it's trial and error. :wierd:

Actually, Paul, tone, Curt.... anyone in the near desert, I am kind of worried my track bar is about to go, I notice a popping sounds when I turn in parking lots, low speed ect. I did some google searches and several people said that could be it. I know that it is in bad shape already cause I beat the sh*t out of it when I took it off last time and when I went to put some grease in it today I could see the end expand. So I am guessing that is my problem. I have an adjustable one that I just need a new end for so I am going to go try and get one now from napa or someplace but I don't have to tools to put it on. Anyone with a vice and bigger wrenchs who is free this afternoon? This is my DD so I need it done asap. Thanks guys!

Sorry I didn't post sooner, I was napping.:speepin: But hold on to My ph# in case You can't make it to Scott's.

So what happens when you drop your rear bumper on your body? I make a lot of noise, from me yelling at the top of my lungs at it.LOL.I guess next time i'll not forget to put the straps on the heavy ass pig.

Anyone Close To Jeff's (squirelfawker) that can come lend a wrenching hand on this sat, would be much appreciated. Not looking for a drinking hand lol. Have to get the man/header, flex plate, shield, on the engine. then the trans on the engine. then if time permits, start on lifting the jeep off the frame table. and get the rear shackles, leafs and rear axle mounted to the jeep.

I have Alot more to do also, but that would be great to get done sat. Its only me on sat. then sunday me and jeff will hopfully get what ever isnt done above and get the front installed. And a whole lot more...

I will be starting about 8:30-9am till about 8-9pmish, depending.

If you can help that would be Great. Jeff will be at a wedding all day, and as much as I dont mind doing crap alone, this is heavy stuff. Not like fab work.

I was starting to wonder too. The dude I was dealing with is no longer there, but a fella named Guy Smith got on the phone with Me and is making it happen.
Aah, don't short change yourself Tone. I make You do most of Your work, and your Jeep still runs. ;) Hey I have read some interesting articles about Your Jeeps problems.
