So Cal desert rats

yea i cleaned the air filter a week ago... gonna order some injectors with my vacation check and go from there

Tone have you guys ran injector cleaner thru them yet? Not the chit you put in the tank, but the stuff the do at a shop? I run every other tank from chevron thru mine after getting mine cleaned after sitting for a couple of years.Maybe try that to see if that helps.Cheap fix if thats all it needs.

Man it is so nice not having the garage flooded when it rains.I can still work on the jeep in the rain now.NOT one drop comes in at all.Best money i have spent on the garage.

We can pull them out and check the spray, throwing money at it isn't always the best way. I meant the fuel filter, Your plugs aren't wet so a clogged air filter wasn't it. They actually look a little lean.
Tone You can spend Your money anyway You want, but if I'm right it will cost You very little and I think re-gearing would be more beneficial for You. I won't say anymore, it's up to You.

Replacing the fuel filter on the 97 is replacing the fuel pump/dropping the tank. I didn't do it cause the part is close to 300

Tone if you want to try lower a smaller set of tires i got a set for you to try. They are 32's and the wifes jeep can spin them on pavement with 28lbs in the rear tires.(just alittle)Let me know if you want to see if this will help. This way you're not doing nothing but gas and time.

Let me know an i can get mine out and hers in to remove the tires to see if that helps your jeep.Thats all i can do to help.I lost all my stock rim and tires.

No thanks Scott I can spin mine just fine when I try, fuel delivery issue is my guess/O2 sensors Or a clogged cat...

Dude i'm old and in bed by then.LOL.Let me know if you guys get it done ok.Maybe we can find out whats wrong with it, we can ask bill, curt, max, and mike or who ever we can get to help.LOL.

Tone do you have 2 of them O2 senors? check the wiring on them i guess, but that would make it run fat if it was broke. Like i said i don't know anything about these jeeps.Just giving you ideals.Hell just clean the plugs, maybe full of dirt and chit.Don't know son.

I sputtered last night when I started driving home from work, like bogged out and almost died then I pumped the pedal and it caught and started going again... yea it has 2 O2 sensors, but they are both fairly new and the scan tool said O2 high voltage whatever that means? but Im not sure what can be causing them to go bad that quick 1 is less then a year old and the other is about 1 1/2 years old.. maybe the cat is clogged and causing them to get F'ed up?
