Thank You Jeff for the parts. Was fun helping tear it up. I'll be free this week to help you more if needed or in 2 weeks on the weekend.

Thank you again, i got all kinds of work now.LOL

Been reading about the shock mount relocation on the rear axle. Gonna be some work to modify the stock mounts but it needs to be done. Scott, got a pic of Your rear axle? You moved Yours on the d-44. Also need to compress the suspension in the rear to see how much I can move up.

What are you talking about? We welded them right back where they came off of the old rear end. I think i lost a 1" of up travel, maybe more. I think we went out a couple of inchs to clear the mounts that was already on the axle.
If you need pics i can get them later.

Time for me to work on my jeep.I got some stuff from jeff so i started working on the easy stuff before i go to Big Bear this weekend.Added some speakers to the doors and panels on them too.Looks a little better on the inside now.
The start

Looks much better now, but the rest of my jeep is torn up removing other crap.LOL. But i'll be done in a couple of days with the rest i hope.

Thought We went up and out with them...I can't remember, sucks getting old.

Yea i went out and looked at them again. They're up and out like you said.I cut them off an then rerounded them to fit so we could weld them.So maybe they went up 2" and they went out almost 3" from stock. But i still bottom them out alot cause they're to long, so you need to watch that part of the move.
I would think if you could cut them close, it would be fine to move them out the 3" and not need new shocks. I would think.Just unbolt and swing them over to see if they lose any stroke up or down.

I was reading here on naxja that they should be as near to the center line of the axle and as far out as possible. If I could buy new shocks after the move then no problem, but I need to get some more money out of these. The problem I see is going up too high with the mount and not be able to go out far enough with it to have enough up travel. I see what You mean about taking the shock loose at the bottom.

Something like this is probably about what I'll get away with. Maybe a mini skid on the bottom of the mount for sliding over rocks. :gee:

They are long enough, problem I see is running out of room on the shock, on the stuff. It just barely had room before and from those bump stops the PO put on the shocks, I'd say the problem was worse before I bump stopped it where it is now. I'll see what I can figure with the bottom of the shock loose. :)
