So Cal desert rats

I'm still lost as to where Max is referring to...

Curt

Me too, thats why i need you guys to SHOW me these trails.:D. My plans are to have the wifes locked by the end of next year. This will let us run these trails together. It is always nicer to run trails with jeeps that are built alike, this way i don't have to worry about me making it and her not.She won't yell at me this way;).LOL

TheFox;245386272 Let's do a HD cromo tie rod for you. I'm thinking heim joints...[/QUOTE said:
I already have the 1 ton setup in the garage, i just need to drill my stuff and i think it needs 1 TRE and a couple of boots and i'm done.

I think my engine is done.... Cracked head maybe? Who knows... Too hot to look right now but when I give it gas it doesn't wanna go... Fuccin pissed right now!

Sorry to hear tone. If you need a hand to tear it down give me a call. You got a pop up right? We can put it up and remove the head an send it to a shop to see if it is cracked before you rebuild the head.We can do it in a couple of days, one to tear down and one to put it back together.

SHHHHHH, he needs to lift it so he can play folks.LOL.I would go thru it like curt said.Tighten everything and then do it again. I know whats wrong with mine, i bent the tie rod again an i am waiting for the funds to do the 1 ton setup

Scott I have that scary P.O.S. !! Rugged Ridge set up you can run if you want... I just found it to have WAY TOOO much tie rod roll... and I did experience D.W. with it... I went BACK to the worn ZJ steering and it was fine for 16 or18 mons., but the old clapped out ball joints & the worn ZJ stuff AND my well used beloved MTs (of Octo-Plug fame... R.I.P. Ol Octo-Plug :patriot: )
All were contributing to pre-D.W. so I replaced the ZJ stuff with new... Octo-Pug with new tires & the new ball joints... I won't go BACK to the R.R. set up cause I feel it's a flawed design... BUT if you'd like to use it till you get your set up you can...

Curt

Thank you for the offer curt. But i want to finish mine with the 1 ton setup under it.If i do the cottage chesse trail over here again, i know it will get bent again.I to also have the RR steering setup, but i bent it out at JV with max the first time i went there.LOL. But we bent it back using his trailer and a hammer.

Didn't see anything on the dip stick or cap but the coolant res. was almost empty... If it's not one thing it's another... :(

sidewinde /minntone wash and hartbreak ridge

Ahhhh... I got it... it's further west than I was thinking... that's a good 1/2 day trip with a few rigs... not mildly modified friendly... actually I haven;t been in awhile.

Chit can't be that hard, he did it in a full size bronco with only 4" of lift.Heck i got 6.5 and you got 4.5 we can do it :confused1. LOL. I'll get max to take me up in a couple of months to check it out.:eyes:

Tone and I ran Heartbreak Ridge/Pontiac Sluice before we had lockers, without any problems. Have not run Mottino Wash yet, but it sounds like fun.

If you get a chance can you send me a text with some info please. 1818-399-2326 George. Thanks!

I can text you info, but all i know so far is we are leaving from Scott's at 7:30ish and heading up to BB. Not sure what trails we are running, probably just playing it by ear.

This is why I wanted to go to Crab Flats. Hopefully we can schedule another run soon. Maybe after I work out the DEATH WOBBLE!

HMMMMMMMM, i know the wife an i can run this cause we both have lifts over 4" with tires, you may have a little trouble with this trail being stock and all.Just saying, body damage sucks. But yea i would love to run this trail and we will as soon as i can get a couple of rigs together on a week day.Plus i got to get the wife to take a day off for it.
I'm thinking like a monday or tuesday.

Maybe we can go by a take a look see at it. I was thinking you was locked when you guy did these trails? I know when we went up it was tore up is some places. But it was fun in mine.

Being a modest man, when I checked into my hotel on a recent trip, I said to the lady at the registration desk ... "I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled." To which she replied, "No, it's regular porn, you sick bastard.”

These folks know me so well.
