Speaking of paint. WAIT till you see the color of mine.:dunno: I'm still . It is NORMAL and i'm not talking abby normal.I had alot of rusty from rubbing on rocks and stuff, like pushing that burned up van off the trail. So i had to have the wife sand down the bumper and rails so i can paint them and i only had normal colors laying around.Spent to much on the MEAT for the BBQ.

So I have a bike rack I am selling that should bring in 350. Now I am trying to decide what's next. Couple ideas:
Option 1
upgrade the coolant system, I was up in the 220ish range when I was wheeling last weekend. Around town it seems to stay around 210 or so. Is that normal out here with the heat and all or should I put in a 3 core and save myself buying a new head. Plus hoses look like they might be blimping a little.
Option 2
Rusty's crossbar: gives you the 1 in drop for the transfer case but keeps your clearance. Gas tank skid and pull point brackets
Option 3
2 in budget boost with spacers and shackles under my 3in and have 5 in:dunce:
Downdside to the lift is my upgraded LCA's would be no good right?
Plus I would have to get new shocks, which may not be a bad idea since the free ones I got were the cheapo rancho shocks. The only reason I am thinking about going bigger already is my 30in tires are getting tore up already even with the 3in and cut fenders and I want to go 31 or 32.

What do you think? Or any better ideas?

Maybe,NO,NO,no. Lets look at what you have before you spend your money on stuff you may not need ok. As for the cooling, did you FLUSH the unit out or do anything to it?I would guess you didn't right. As for the drop, HOW can you drop it1" at keep the same clearance?Just asking. Gas tank skid you may find on here for cheap.Tow points are easy to get on sale for the front if you keep your eyes open. What year is yours again?

No I haven't done anything to the coolant system yet, I need to check it out. I am pretty sure I need to replace the hoses so I might as well flush the system and replace the thermostat while I am at it.

The rusty's crossmember is advertised as giving you a 1in drop without losing clearance, I don't know how but I guess it works. I am all about finding stuff on the cheap! I have subscribed to the karma thread and for sale threads so I am watching for skids and the like.

My xj is a 98

Thats whats wrong with yours, the year is all wrong son.LOL. OK, let her cool down an get that flush from the parts house or go to a shop and have them flush your system for you, this is what i did on mine 3 years ago and i still run cool today.around 190 to 200 in the canyons going slow with no wind blowing. If you going to a shop change all the stuff before you go and have them put in a new stat after they flush your unit.

I have a 3core all metal radiator sitting at Pauls that I bought a while back that didn't work for me if your interested?

Yea you can give him 20 bucks for it.Then we'll have to fix it so the trans lines work.I think thats whats wrong with it.Is that what it is tone? Been so long i can't think why you didn't use it.

I was gonna say I would just try the flush and thermostat change but 20....that's hard to pass up. Why did you opt out on it? What brand is it? What's wrong with it?

I was thinking 55 considering I paid 85 for it.... Nothing is wrong with it, it just wouldn't work with my trans lines so I bought another one.

Brand is CSF I believe and I got it from a member here (desert Randy) he was doing a experiment between a 3core and a aluminum radiator and ended up keeping the aluminum..
