So Cal desert rats

I think it's done. I had to set the backlash of the ring & p-gear. No gauge. So I went off the machined face of the housing with a straight edge up to the ring gear and lined up the edge to the tip of the tooth, backed up the gear through the lash and used a feeler gauge to measure it. It called for (sweet spot) .006-.008, I got .007. Glad I made that tool easy to use, I was back and forth ten times with the side load adjustment, getting under and checking the lash again. What a pain. I want one of those gauges before I do this again.:rattle:
Brakes are cool.

I forgot about the offroad COPS!! Do you think it would be a problem there? Maybe we should get the tires dirty in your back yard? Bill

Yea we can play here in my backyard if thats good for all. We know the BLM guys don't aim at tires here cause the folks in my hood carry guns an we aim at heads.LOL.We got sand hills and crap to play on with some harder stuff on the way for the bigger kids to play on.

Maybe we can play for a couple of hours an do a late night IN & OUT run.:eyes:. Now that sounds like a plan right there don't it.If we start at lets say around 7:30-8:00 and hit IN & OUT by 11:00 on ? What time does all the OLD folks home close, mine is around 1:00:roflmao:.
If this is cool say so, then i can plan on the time and get me jeep done by then.I need lights.:bawl:

Glad to hear you got it done son. Now if you want to come over and play this saturday night, I'll give you 20 bucks for gas.Thats what like 5 gallons of fuel.I am still on my fuel from 2 weekends ago.:D.Up to you.

I'm not 100% sure I can make it... IF y'all are going to play out on the east end I'd probably pass, due to other "issues"

Y'all figure out where y'all want to go & if I can I'll try to make it...
Like I've said don't plan anything around me...

Curt

Check out the post for this sat curt.Maybe you can make this.We can turn it into a meet and greet after we do the run.:guitar:

Thanks Bud, next time. It's not just fuel, it's a whole production when We go out. Ice, water, soda, food, extra this and better get that's. Rear driver's side is so bald, I can check the Air Pressure by sight. But it runs Great, and stops just as well. So have a Great Time...I'm Happy. :wave1:

OK O-TAY XJ

Can you follow what he is saying here? It sounds like he wants to play, but not over there cause he is :scared: that they are going to shoot at him again:jester:. Would you like to play over here so the MAYOR can try to join us, i would hate for him to sit at home and :dunno:.

I want to go, but I probably should take Momma out... plus the thing is wanting to run hot...
SO !! y'all set something up... if I can I'll be there... if not have FUN !...

There she is! 3" lift, fender trim, and painted lower panels with truck bed liner. Can't wait to take it out and play!

Cool, how do You open the rear hatch? Looks like the rack side rails get in the way.

All indications point towards a successful out come. Famous last words. :D
